For any robot authors interested in joining the championship, don't worry if you missed the first race, you now have two weeks to register & get on board for race two. I hope to see you on the grid - our current lineup of 16 cars feels a little sparse :)

    And Bernhard.

Please register for the next race. We need more entertainment, so Andrew doesn't have to write about our boring color schemes in the review again ;)

Two weeks? I feared that I would be back of the pack, but no longer!

    At least I hope...

So, any new entrants? Less than 24 hours to submit your robot if you want to be part of race 2...

Well, tonight's my last chance to submit my (completely unfinished, back-of-pack) robot. Prepare thy visage for much slowness...

EDIT: No promises, but preliminary testing suggests 3-5 seconds a lap faster than semi-pro Berniw!

Well, I've got 3 weeks to fix one minor bug (which I think I know the solution to), and then, I can make my bot faster.

Well, its worth entering anyway for a couple of reasons:
            1. Even if your bots come last they'll still pick up some points (assuming <= 10 teams) in the race, and the team picks up 2 points just for submitting a result, (and I don't think anyone minds if your bot is slow)
            2. You get to download some worthwhile opponents.

I noticed that your team had actually joined at one point on Monday evening, but was gone again when I looked again later on... shame. :)

            Cheers, Tim.

The slowness isn't the problem (it might even break into the midfield), it's the fact that the drivers look like they've just stumbled out of the computer of a certain animation studio...

aah yes. I had uploaded it at about 5 to 9, but ten minutes later, I remembered about the glitch-that-must-not-be-named-that-i-now-think-i've-got-a-perfectly-good-solution-to, and so removed it, which, as you explained, was probably a mistake.

Heh, take a close look at the drivers here: http://berniw.org/trb/teams/team_view.php?viewteamid=58

Oh heck - we've just finished upgrading to debian 9, and now the computer's just gone and removed a library that TORCS needs. I can only hope that compiling a new copy of TORCS will help.

EDIT: After deleting Olethros (sorry Christos), TORCS is now fine. See you at E-Track-6!

Welcome aboard "Klin Project", the description of your robot is quite intriguing, can't wait to see it in action :)

      Thanks, Andrew

There are innumerable and major problems, and his development, at a very early and precarious stage, may not yet fully reflect or come close to its own idea. There is a lot of work ahead, and I hope to get closer to it and implement it as efficiently as possible.
