Subject: I think I'll remove JSR for this race.
Its not setup for the track, doesn't know how to pit, and is basically a wrecking ball losing control on corners & reversing across the racing line- https://i.imgur.com/MsAHSaG.jpg

As discussed in another thread last week, there's no value to including a robot that isn't maintained and behaves badly like this - no offence intended Jacob, I'd be happy to race your bot if you put just a little work into it :)

I'll do the same. I believe Jacob wasn't active in this forum since the first couple of races.

Jacob. If you're still around, please give us a sign of life.

Yeah, go ahead - I'd completely forgotten about TORCS for a few months, and so hadn't done anything to my bot. Once the race at Street 1 is over, I'll remove JSR, and start learning C++, so that I can effectively re-make it.
Sorry about this, see you in the new year.

No problem at all, hope to see you again in 2018 :)

By the way, it didn't happen in my initial running of the race, but I was experimenting with some changes to USR yesterday (my race result already submitted) and saw the Axioms losing the rear end & going sideways on the first 90 degree turn on lap 2 with semi-warm tyres. It caused a massive traffic jam with some cars taking a lot of damage.

My apologies if this affected anyone's race, its unfortunate I didn't see it during the submission phase as it was an easy fix. Those car-5s are a bit tricky when pushed to their limit, they have a tendency to suddenly lose grip & oversteer.

No worries, it didn't happen here. But those 90 degree turns with fast approaches are from an evil track designer anyway :)

Heh, I wouldn't know. I guess you'd have to blame Colonel William Light, who designed the street layout of Adelaide :)

That right->left->right combination certainly tests a car's ability to change direction though. Some of the TRB cars are a LOT better at it than others.

This is a nice circuit; I like. The changes of direction and the relations between cars are very pleasant to see. It's a circuit full of life.

OK here. However, I noticed a certain instability in USR & Axiom in overtaking, which I do not think happened in the previous races... or they are more aggressive here when changing directions...

Yep, I introduced a bunch of changes in the Corkscrew race, still got some bugs to fix...
