Rat Race: Getting even faster and totally dominating

Wdbee: Excellent speed as ever but still having problems with some traffic

Tiger: Even toned down hard to beat

Robo: Desperately looking for more speed

Speedy: Getting faster each race and will probably pass Dummy, Autobot soon

JSR: This is the perfect bot to test your collision avoidance skills

Sounds like an interesting race! :)

I completely forgot to run it over the weekend just gone, as I was busy with a number of other things. I'd like to run it anyway at some point to get a feel for how it went.

Perhaps I should tone the Tiger's down a bit more for the next race.

    Cheers, Tim.

This time we had at least 3 results. We're getting better at this.

Interesting for me was, that I was unable to be faster than default Tiger. After the race I can see where I lose time of course, but that doesn't help very much :)

I'm not sure, if you should tame the Tigers even more. It just shows how good this bot is. Looking forward to take parts of it for the next championship.

    See, it's not totally useless!
More seriously, now that it's the summer holidays, I should have far more time to work on TORCS. Maybe if I remember to select Linux at startup...

Waou, don't put pressure on me like that ! :D I didn't expect to spent so much time tuning SpeedyBots but I got caught in the game to fetch the last tenth of a second.

Anyway, thank you for your summary.

PS : A question to wdbee : Have you again encounter some issue to run SpeedyBot on Windows ? Is it runnable as delivered ?

      Hi Eliam,

if I remember right, there was no issue with this bot.
The only boring thing is, that the JSR is spamming the console while race.

You added code to handle tire wear. As result the bot does start without enough fuel if there is no setup for the track, the default parameter does not fit.

I agree, it would be nice from Jacob to comment out lines 2982, 3000 in raceline.cpp.
