TORCS Endurance World Championship 2012 2012-01-26 00:06:06

Hi all

The TORCS Endurance World Championship 2012 is set up and will be ready for
signing in tomorrow. We use TORCS-1.3.2 to start the season, have a look at
the README for a list of changes. The most important changes regarding the
championship are:
- reduced drag advantage for the leading car when slipstreaming
- ground effect drops quickly when air flow is not parallel to driving direction
- new car available (car8-trb1)
- some Gf* API functions operate now with const char* instead of char*

I set up a test championship to make the competitors familiar with the process
and to give the opportunity to iron out problems and getting used to the people
before the real championship starts:

And here you can join the real championship:

So, I hope to meet you on the track and that you enjoy the 2012 season.

Have fun,

Bernhard

TORCS Endurance World Championship 2008 2008-03-02 19:47:36

Hi all

The TORCS Endurance World Championship 2008 is set up and will be ready for signing in tomorrow. The required packages (TORCS-1.3.1 and trb tracks addon package) are not yet ready, this will still take some weeks. You can get the cars and tracks from the CVS till everything is ready. There are a few changes in car physics of 1.3.1, namely the anti roll bars will be functional, the wheel mass is considered in the suspension movement and a rolling resistance bug has been fixed.

The differences of the final car performance is quite small, so you can start the development from the CVS version or from version 1.3.0. For 1.3.1 you have to adjust the the suspension settings then.

So, I hope to meet you on the track and that you enjoy the 2008 season.

Have fun,

Bernhard
